Just tallied up my swap commitments - scary!!! I just can't resist. Fortunately, Swap-Bot only lets you join 5 at a time...but I found some more swaps elswhere he he. Posted 3 last Saturday and now anxiously waiting for some feedback from the recipients. It's so much fun.
Here is an altered tea towel swap I participated in. It's on its way to Nikki in America. She likes burnt orange and black so I appliqued some of our native fauna with the raw edge method. Turned out okay I think!
I am also in an Alice in Wonderland swap and have just bought a knitting pattern for the Cheshire cat so better get those needles out!

A Bit of This and That
Managed to create a few things lately on my sewing machine. A little quilt of love - really enjoy making these, a good cause and using up some fabric scraps.
Also made this little bag - a kit I bought at the Sydney Quilt Show a couple of years ago. It was for my sewing friend Ros. It turned out really well I think and the fabrics are quite exotic.
Also now revealing my mouse I made for Lyn for the Thimbleprims Mouse Swap. Hand sewn - I had a lot of fun designing and making this little critter (even though hubby thinks it looks more like a rat!) I definitely have a soft spot for 'softies'.
Hope it cools down in Adelaide soon - I have some swap partners waiting for their swaps - not only addicted to blogging now but also sewing swaps - I have to send parcels to Finland, Vancouver Is and California!
Had a great (but warm) day with my sewing friends The Material Girls today at Hettie's Patch for our first gathering for 2010. We all had a productive day and thanks as always to the lovely Faye - our teacher and friend.
